Installation on A Small Orange

A Small Orange does support PHP5, however, by default they use 4.x. To enable PHP5, you need to change the PHP Configuration. Under 'Software/Services' in your cPanel X, you need to select PHP Configuration. On this page, change the drop-down menu at the top of the page to set that the ".php" file extension will be processed by PHP 5.

Also note, that ASO doesn't provide users with shell access by default. You must request this feature via their support team.
