In the hopes of one day having an HabariCon, here's what I think we should do to promote Habari and build our community.

Objectives
- Increase Habari visibility.
- Increase number of Habari installs.
- Increase number of plugins and themes.
- Attract talent and energy.
Material
- Develop a short or long list of features.
- Logos, banners, etc.
Actions
- Submit our project to events such as: Google Summer of Code.
- Add Habari to listings such as: Freshmeat, SourceForge, Ohloh, Wikipedia, Social Source Commons, IceWalkers, DMOZ, etc.
- Enter Habari in open source contests where votes are submitted by the community: tropheesdulibre.org, SourceForge.net: Community Choice Awards, Codie awards, Intranet Innovation Award, etc
- Make sure hosts list Habari as a supported application.
- Make sure demo sites are using the latest version: http://opensourcecms.com/.
- Join various organizations. like The Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN), OSCOM, etc
- Create a comparison table against major alternatives.
- Get major bloggers to convert to Habari.
- Have features that make Habari memorable.
- Work our way into the Debian system
